Who is Julie Semple?

A native of the United Kingdom (Scotland), Julie’s worldliness began at the young age of 15 when she moved to Fiji with her father, who was a civil engineer working on road and bridge projects.

She spent her formative years working first in Fiji at the renowned five-star Regent Hotel (now Four Seasons).  She was involved in hospitality and then took over as Manager of Operations for Wormald International at the age of 21, where she had some 300 employees reporting to her. Julie migrated from Fiji to Sydney, Australia after 13 years, pursuing a career in hospitality, but also training and studying Tae Kwon Do under Master Jung Nyuen Kim, gaining her first Dan Black Belt within 18 months. Her competitive spirit earned her top ranking as Australia’s Women’s Champion in Tae Kwon Do. She taught her own classes for both adults and children and competed in the1992 Olympic Trials, gaining second place.

Julie’s drive and desire to excel never stopped. She earned her certificate as a chef (French Classical) in 1988. She worked as an executive chef and won awards before taking the plunge and changing her career to study and work as a personal trainer in 2003, while continuing to work as an executive chef.

She earned her Master Trainer Certification IV with the Australian Institute of Fitness and the European Federation Internationale Sports Aerobics Et Fitness Trainer in 2006. She gained her prenatal postpartum certification with Annette Lange in New York City in 2008.

Julie came to the United States in 2007 and began working as a personal trainer, learning the system here and integrating her knowledge about the body, nutrition and fitness in order to support her clients’ desires to change their lives. She committed herself to improving her clients’ understanding of how the body, mind and nutrition fit into a daily routine that supports each person’s lifestyle change.
